1. How it Works
 
 
  1. At Clean & Sober Streets, residents go through several phases of recovery. 

  2. New phases begin on a rolling admission basis.


Phase I -- Initial 30 day detoxification and intensive treatment 
                    Included are:













Phase III  Recovery Support Services
                -- Continuation of  counseling and group therapy 
                       with a focus  on developing a sense of 
                       identity, spirituality and sociability. 

           Participants are offered opportunities for:   
  
                •Back on My Feet running program
                (Pictured on the right)  Many participants have 
                    successfully run in 5K and marathon races                
                •GED training
           •Computer Literacy 
           •Job Training Guidance
           •Art Therapy
           •Physical Fitness & Gym
                •CASSA Arts Workshop--multi-media arts studio, fused glass & museum trips

Phase III --  Continuation of  counseling and group work. 
A period during which residents may regain employment and participate in outside education and vocational training.

Phase IV -- Participants are employed and preparing for reintegration in to the community with housing assistance and transitional counseling. 

The treatment program is housed at a convenient downtown Washington, DC location at
425 2nd Street, NW on the 2 North wing of the building.
